Position Summary

As a Client Project Manager, you are responsible for collaborating with clients and internal teams to successfully deliver implementation projects that cover one or more business units. You will manage the overall project schedule, issues, and risks, expenses against budget, and communicate project status to stakeholders, internal and external clients, and senior management. We are looking for a Client Project Manager with strong leadership, excellent communication and practical project management skills, and the ability to motivate others through vision, strategic positioning, and leadership qualities.

Functions and Responsibilities

You provide a central point of contact for projects and help develop projects from initial conception to final implementation. You facilitate the definition of project scope and objectives, and coordinate all aspects of the project, planning and directing schedules and budgets. You must be able to work in a hybrid environment, using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies. You must possess strong skills in budget preparation as well as forecasting and monitoring financial performance against budget.

Qualification and Skills

• University undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
• 5 years of experience in project management and leading large-scale implementation projects with clients
• PMP certification is an asset
• Experience in IT consulting/outsourcing or in one of the four major IT consulting firms is a plus!
• Experience in planning and implementing large-scale programs and projects involving procurement, software development, infrastructure, logistics, third-party vendors, on-site and off-site personnel, digital and mobile solutions using Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
• Experience in implementing digital software solutions
• Ability to travel and visit client sites for implementations (up to 30% of the time and mainly in the province of Quebec)
• Proven experience in successfully managing medium to large-scale programs or projects
• Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills, as well as a critical mind required.
• High skills in presentation, communication, leadership, collaboration, and human relations are required.
• Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Practical professional experience in the development, creation, response, writing, contribution, and revision of information requests, tenders, proposals, proposal development, project cost estimation, project budgets, and project plans.
• Practical professional experience in managing programs or projects, from information requests to launch, planning, execution, management and control, closure, post-implementation support, and transfer to operations.
• We are looking for motivated, determined, detail-oriented candidates who can work independently, work well under pressure, collaborate, and work tirelessly to find solutions to business challenges, and deliver programs and projects on time, within budget, and with an exceptional level of quality and customer satisfaction.
• Training and experience in agile project management (certification is a plus!)
• Technical experience with the complete software development life cycle (SDLC) in software, digital, and mobile domains, with quality assurance and version control processes (an asset!)
• Fluent in advanced French and English (spoken and written) (the role may include communications with the US Headquarters)

Role and Functions

• Manage a portfolio of complex initiatives covering one or more business sectors.
• Develop and manage all aspects of project engagement, from planning to external supplier relations, communication, resources, budget, changes, risks, and issues.
• Full project lifecycle management: project success will include the complete implementation, from launch to deployment, of a major initiative or several minor initiatives simultaneously.
• Manage all aspects of related projects to ensure that overall implementation is aligned with strategic objectives and contributes directly to their achievement.
• Work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment, demonstrating team spirit, innovation, and excellence.
• Understand the interdependencies between technology, operations, and business needs.
• Demonstrate a functional sense to support how solutions will meet client objectives while staying in line with industry best practices.

• Define and continuously manage project and program expectations while delegating and managing deliverables with team members, stakeholders, and clients.
