Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Current teaching certification with ESL endorsement (or eligibility)
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education or related field
• Previous experience as an ESL or general education teacher preferred
• Strong understanding of diverse student backgrounds and culturally responsive teaching methodologies
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills
• Ability to adapt lessons for varying proficiency levels and integrate language objectives into content instruction

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, deliver, and assess engaging ESL lessons for students at varying levels of English proficiency
• Foster an inclusive, supportive, and positive classroom atmosphere
• Utilize effective instructional strategies to support language development, academic achievement, and social integration
• Collaborate with general education teachers to modify curriculum and provide targeted supports
• Track student progress, maintain records, and prepare reports as required
• Communicate regularly with parents, colleagues, and support staff to maximize student success
• Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to a collegial team environment
