Senior Treasury Analyst

The Cash/Treasury Manager is accountable for the company’s liquidity, banking, and asset-based lending (ABL) compliance. This role owns cash visibility, funding strategy, and lender reporting processes, and designs resilient controls that reduce risk. This role partners with AP, AR/Credit, Accounting, FP&A, and Operations to improve cash forecasting accuracy and reduce disruption from lender field exams and appraisals. The role is the primary point of contact for banks and ABL agents and ensures treasury activities are automated, controlled, and audit ready. This role is also responsible for ongoing process improvement and sustainability, to keep pace with the evolution of the company and bank amendments. Key Responsibilities A. Liquidity Management & Cash Operations (Governance + Optimization) Own daily cash positioning across all banks and accounts; drive automation of bank data aggregation and reporting. Lead the company’s short-term liquidity planning, including revolver borrowing/paydown strategy, cash concentration decisions, and liquidity contingency planning (especially during peak times). Establish and maintain treasury operating cadence (daily cash, weekly liquidity/availability outlook, monthly close tie-outs, quarterly liquidity scenarios). B. ABL Facility Management (Borrowing Base, Availability, Compliance) Own the end-to-end borrowing base governance model (RACI), ensuring clear accountability for preparation, review, approval, and submission. Review and approve borrowing base calculations and reporting, including eligibility rules, ineligibles, reserves, and supporting schedules (AR, inventory, credits/dilution, concentrations). Monitor and forecast availability (not just cash), incorporating expected AR collections, planned inventory receipts, payables cadence, and seasonal working capital needs. Maintain compliance calendars for lender reporting, covenants, appraisals, and reporting deliverables; proactively manage lender communications and exceptions. C. Bank Relationship Management & Connectivity Strategy Own bank relationship governance (bank account administration, signers/authorizations, entitlements, and service level management) across multiple banks. Define and manage bank connectivity strategy to reduce manual portal work and improve timeliness of cash visibility as well as automated recording and reconciliation thereof. Lead bank fee review and rationalization; ensure treasury services align to operational needs (lockbox, ACH filters, positive pay , wire templates, controlled disbursement, etc.). D. Payments Controls, Fraud Prevention & Treasury Policies Design and enforce payment controls and segregation of duties across ACH, check, wires, and auto-debits (dual approvals, release controls, template governance) Own treasury policies: payment authority matrix, bank portal access governance, cash handling procedures, and exception management. Partner with AP to standardize payment workflows (request → approval → release) and ensure audit-ready documentation. E. Cash Forecasting Build and operate a 13-week cash and availability forecast process using ERP and merchandising and other inputs where needed (Acumatica + BlueCherry), including scenario modeling for seasonal peaks. Improve forecast accuracy by integrating drivers (PO receipts, inventory build plans, customer collections risk, payment runs) and implementing a continuous variance feedback loop. Build in checks and balances and analytical reviews for accuracy. F. Field Exams & Appraisals Own field exam readiness: monthly tie-outs, examiner support package, and standardized evidence binder to reduce field exam time, disruption, and post-exam reserves. Coordinate inventory and collateral appraisals, ensuring accurate and timely data submissions and alignment with operational inventory definitions. G. Systems & Data Integration (Treasury Tech Owner) Serve as business owner for treasury tooling; drive implementation of cash visibility/forecasting and bank connectivity enhancements and automation. Define requirements, support IT integration design, and ensure data lineage and controls are maintained from source systems to lender reporting. Success Measures (KPIs) Forecasting : 13-week forecast accuracy improvement (MAPE / variance bands) and reduced forecast “surprises.” Operations : time to produce daily cash position reduced (hours → minutes) via automated bank feeds/connectivity. ABL : borrowing base cycle time reduction; fewer post-submission corrections; reduced lender reserves attributable to data/support issues. Exams : field exam duration/disruption reduced; fewer findings; faster examiner closeout. Controls : payment exceptions/fraud incidents minimized; clean audit trails and access governance. Required Qualifications 5+ years in cash management with direct ABL experience (borrowing base, availability, field exams). Experience with multi-bank environments and bank products (ACH/wires/check controls). Demonstrated ability to design processes, implement controls, and lead cross-functional change. Systems orientation: comfort integrating ERP data and bank data; experience with treasury tools or ERP cash modules. Highly analytical, detail‑oriented, and capable of exercising sound judgment while making time‑sensitive decisions. Advanced proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office Suite (including AI tools). Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment with minimal supervision. High degree of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance related required. Preferred Qualifications Wholesale/distribution or consumer products experience; seasonal working capital management. Experience leading TMS / cash forecasting enhancements and bank connectivity projects.
