Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery

Start Date: June 1, 2026

Schedule: Nights, 3×12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)

Location: Seattle, WA 98122

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in high-acuity, fast-paced environments
• EPIC charting system proficiency
• Certifications: Required – BLS, NRP | Preferred – ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate

Core Skills & Responsibilities:

• Labor & Delivery Management: Amnioinfusion, high-risk deliveries, vaginal deliveries, C-sections, forceps/vacuum extraction, hemorrhage/shock management, recovery care
• Medication Administration: Anticoagulation therapy, antihypertensives, insulin drips, magnesium sulfate, Pitocin, terbutaline
• Neonatal Care: APGAR scoring, cord sample collection, neonatal resuscitation, thermoregulation, radiant warmers
• Postpartum Care: Cesarean section recovery, multiple births, postpartum hemorrhage, PIH, bladder distension, couplet care
• Procedures & Support: Breastfeeding/lactation support, episiotomy/incision care, Foley catheter management, wound assessment, pain management (epidural, general anesthesia, nitrous oxide, opioids, PCA)
• Fetal Monitoring: External monitoring, recognition/treatment of abnormal heart rate patterns
• Antepartum Care: Triage of obstetrical patients, high-risk antepartum management
• Surgical Procedures: Tubal ligation assistance

Additional Notes:

• Float required to Postpartum/Antepartum units and sister facilities (Mother/Baby).
• Strong emphasis on isolation precautions, PPE, vaccine administration, and newborn care.
