Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Manager Day Shift Job Overview We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to lead our team as a Unit Manager on our day shift at the Westchester Center for Rehabilitation & Nursing in Mount Vernon, New York. As a Unit Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a dedicated unit, providing exceptional care to our patients, and ensuring a positive and efficient work environment. Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Manager Responsibilities Manage and coordinate the day-to-day activities of a dedicated unit, ensuring that patients receive high-quality care and services Supervise and mentor a team of RNs, LPNs, and caregivers, providing guidance and support to promote excellent patient outcomes Develop and implement unit policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies Collaborate with other departments, including therapy, social work, and Activities, to ensure comprehensive care and services for patients Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient satisfaction surveys to identify areas for improvement and implement changes Demonstrate expertise in patient assessment, care planning, and documentation, as well as effective communication and conflict resolution skills Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and reports, including patient charts, medication administration records, and incident reports Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Manager Requirements Current New York RN license Prior experience as a nurse, with previous management or leadership experience preferred Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities Commitment to providing excellent patient care and service What We Offer Competitive salary Comprehensive benefits package!
