Clinical Research Nurse - Gator MOMitor

Job Description The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is seeking a Clinical Research Nurse to support Dr. Roussos‑Ross’s research project, MOMitor. The role involves collaborating closely with division research staff, communicating with patients, following treatment algorithms, coordinating outpatient appointments, and assisting physicians in obtaining and recording research data. Responsibilities include interviewing and enrolling study subjects, reviewing medical records, documenting findings in research forms and EMR, planning nursing aspects of medical team research, and writing data collection tools. The candidate should be knowledgeable in EMR, Excel, and other data collection tools, work well in a team, recruit and enroll subjects in ongoing clinical trials, coordinate physicals, and maintain all regulatory and sponsor-required documentation. As a Clinical Research Nurse, You Will Respond to patient alerts, assess symptoms, follow clinical protocols, and document findings, plans, and outcomes in EMR and data collection tools. Obtain and record research data with physicians and other team members; enroll study subjects, interview them, review records, and complete data collection tools. Build working relationships with patients, families, community groups, and volunteers; maintain contact with public agencies involved in the research. Determine eligibility of participants, obtain informed consent, enroll patients in the research protocol, and coordinate all aspects of their care. Explain the research protocol, respond to inquiries, schedule participation, ensure compliance, and inform referring physicians of protocol requirements. Collect, record, organize, transcribe, and verify the accuracy of research data; coordinate data collection; and create tools using applications such as REDCap. Collaborate with administrative staff and research peers or the Principal Investigator on Institutional Review Board submissions. Communicate with sponsors, auditors, monitoring agencies, and the IRB in a timely, accurate, and effective manner. Perform other duties necessary to conduct the study and related functions of the Division. Travel Requirements The position covers Alachua, Bradford, Gilchrist, and Union counties and requires reliable transportation and willingness to drive up to one hour between clinical locations on weekdays. Some work will be in person, and some will be via telehealth/remote. Expected Salary $70,000.00 annually Minimum Requirements Graduate of a nationally accredited nursing program and four years of professional nursing experience; licensed as a registered nurse in accordance with Chapter 464, Florida Statutes. Valid driver's license. Preferred Qualifications Strong written and oral communication skills. Preferred 3+ years of experience in obstetrics and/or research, specifically patient recruitment, conducting research studies, follow-up visits, and maintenance of study records. #J-18808-Ljbffr
