Position: Equipment Operator (April - October)
Pay Range: $16-20/hr DOE

Description: Summary The Equipment Operator, under the supervision of the Golf Course Superintendent/Director of Agronomy or Assistant Golf Courses Superintendent(s), performs work involving the use of large equipment, including tractors, loaders, trenchers, backhoes, trucks, and other maintenance equipment.

Position Requirements: Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Mow fairways and roughs with designated equipment and according to prescribed methods and procedures.
Operates large equipment to include sweepers, skid steers, aerifiers, and sprayers.
May operate smaller equipment as directed by his/her supervisor.
Refills fuel and checks oil daily; cleans equipment daily; and reports equipment problems or failures to the equipment manager immediately.
Provides basic preventative maintenance on equipment as directed by the equipment manager or AGCS and returns equipment to the designated location at the maintenance facility.
Performs other duties as directed by his/her supervisor.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Education Preferred: High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
Preferred: Experience in golf course maintenance.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Experience in operation of golf course equipment; knowledge of safe, efficient mechanical operation of tractors and other motorized equipment.
Ability to follow written and oral directions.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities.
Ability to be flexible and adaptable in highly fluid and dynamic environment.
Ability to work with a team and interact with others in a professional and courteous manner.
Ability to maintain the confidentiality of Stock Farm Club and member and guest information.
Ability to maintain professionalism and image of the Stock Farm Club.
Additional Requirements & Documentation
Must be at least 16 years of age.
Must pass a criminal background check.
Must be able to work overtime and holidays as required; must be able to work additional weekday and early morning or evening hours as required.
Must be able to work variable schedule to include last-minute scheduling needs/changes and working split shifts.
Must be insurable by Club's auto insurance provider and possess a valid driver's license.
Environmental & Physical Conditions
Physical activity is moderate to demanding and will require bending, kneeling, and lifting. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Must be able to use hand tools and power tools such as a chainsaw and shovel. Must be able to walk around the maintenance facility and golf course, sit on and operate golf carts, utility vehicles, tractors, and mowers.
Mental activity includes intermediate math skills for calculating data figures important to golf course maintenance. Must be able to remember information important to the maintenance program. Reading, writing and verbally communicating with the employees, management, members and public; possess a reasoning capacity that is sensitive to environmental and public relations issues.
