IT Business Analyst

IT Business Analyst Houston, TX (Onsite 4 days per week) W2 Contract Role; 12+ Months Rate: 65-68/HR Overview The Business Analyst will support enterprise cybersecurity initiatives by translating complex security and compliance requirements into actionable user stories, backlog items, and process improvements. This role partners closely with Product Owners, Agile Release Trains (ARTs), and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure business and security outcomes are aligned and measurable. Key Responsibilities Elicit, analyze, and document business, technical, and regulatory requirements across cybersecurity domains (e.g., IAM, network security, threat detection, vulnerability management). Translate requirements into SAFe-aligned artifacts (features, user stories, acceptance criteria) within Agile tooling (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jira). Support Program Increment (PI) planning, backlog refinement, and cross-team dependency mapping. Work with cybersecurity SMEs to operationalize frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO) into workflows, controls, and measurable outputs. Identify gaps in current-state processes and recommend improvements aligned to target operating models. Facilitate workshops and stakeholder sessions across IT, security, risk, and business teams. Define success metrics, KPIs, and reporting dashboards to track adoption and value delivery. Ensure traceability between business requirements, security controls, and delivered solutions. Qualifications 5+ years Business Analysis experience in large-scale enterprise IT or cybersecurity programs Strong understanding of Agile/SAFe methodology (experience supporting ARTs or value streams preferred) Experience in cybersecurity domains or regulatory/compliance environments Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Power BI, or similar Ability to communicate effectively across technical and non-technical audiences Strong analytical and documentation skills Preferred Experience in energy, utilities, or industrial environments Exposure to OT (Operational Technology) security concepts Certifications (CBAP, PMI-PBA, SAFe Agilist or SAFe Practitioner) #J-18808-Ljbffr
