Java Software Engineer

Salary: $123,000 - 163,000 per year Requirements:

• We are looking for strong Core Java experience, ideally with Java 17 or Java 21.

• You must be able to read, troubleshoot, and update existing JavaScript and UI code.

• Preferred: experience using GitHub Copilot or another AI-powered coding assistant.

• We develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise applications using Java and Spring technologies.
• We support application vulnerability remediation, security hardening, and dependency and package updates.
• We design, build, and integrate REST APIs and microservices.
• We troubleshoot and update existing web applications across backend and frontend layers.
• We read and make targeted changes to JavaScript and AJAX code without requiring major UI rewrites.
• We work with existing applications built on Thymeleaf, Spring Web MVC, and Backbone.
• We collaborate with developers through code reviews, technical discussions, and Agile/Scrum ceremonies.
• We work with containerized applications deployed in OpenShift, Kubernetes, and Docker environments.
• We maintain high standards for code quality, security, performance, and reliability.

The position is focused on application modernization, vulnerability remediation, API security, and overall hardening, with roughly 60% backend work and 40% frontend work on customer-facing applications. We are looking for a strong backend Java developer who is comfortable working within existing web applications and making targeted JavaScript and UI updates as needed.
