About the Role:
International Commodity Carriers Inc. is looking for a driven and motivated Freight Broker to join our team in Medford, OR! This is an exciting opportunity to build meaningful carrier and shipper relationships while playing a key role in moving freight across the country. If you thrive in a fast-paced logistics environment and love closing deals, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
- Source, negotiate, and book freight loads with shippers and carriers to ensure timely and cost-effective transportation
- Build and maintain strong relationships with a network of carriers and shippers
- Track and trace shipments, providing proactive updates to customers throughout the freight lifecycle
- Negotiate competitive freight rates to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction
- Manage load boards and utilize TMS (Transportation Management Systems) to match freight with available carriers
- Resolve shipping issues, delays, and disputes with a solutions-oriented approach
- Meet and exceed individual sales and revenue targets on a consistent basis
Requirements:
- Prior experience in freight brokerage, logistics, or transportation sales preferred
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficiency with load boards (DAT, Truckstop.com) and TMS software
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment
- Self-motivated with a competitive, results-driven mindset
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and freight industry standards is a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in business or logistics preferred
