Inpatient Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)

LOCATION: Medford, OR

JOB TYPE: Full-Time Permanent, Days

About the Role

In this position, you will work closely with licensed Physical Therapists to carry out personalized treatment programs for patients recovering from injury, surgery, illness, or physical limitations. You’ll play an important role in supporting patients throughout their rehabilitation journey while helping them achieve meaningful functional goals.

What You’ll Do

• Deliver hands-on therapy interventions under the direction of a Physical Therapist.
• Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, mobility training, balance activities, and functional movement.
• Observe and report patient progress and responses to treatment.
• Encourage patient participation and provide education throughout recovery.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support optimal patient outcomes.
• Adapt treatment approaches based on patient age, condition, and physical abilities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
• Active Oregon PTA license or ability to obtain prior to start
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment
