Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

This role focuses on performing preventive and corrective maintenance on conveyor systems and industrial machinery in a clean food production environment. The Maintenance Technician supports safe, efficient, and reliable operation of equipment by diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring all machinery runs at optimal performance.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on conveyor systems and industrial machinery to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
• Assist other workers in diagnosing malfunctions in machinery and equipment, providing technical guidance and support.
• Carry out electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance and repair on a variety of production equipment.
• Dismantle, assemble, and install industrial machinery according to specifications and safety standards.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and control issues, including basic PLC-related troubleshooting, to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
• Lubricate and grease industrial parts and components, such as bearings, to ensure proper operation and prevent premature wear.
• Document maintenance activities as required and communicate equipment status to supervisors and team members.
• Follow all safety procedures and food production standards while performing maintenance tasks on equipment and within the facility.

Essential Skills

• 1–2 years of industrial maintenance experience and/or a degree in Industrial Maintenance.
• Strong mechanical experience with industrial machinery and conveyor systems.
• Proven ability to perform preventive maintenance on industrial equipment.
• Experience with troubleshooting mechanical issues and basic PLC-related problems.
• Hands-on experience with hydraulic systems, including maintenance and repair.
• Hands-on experience with pneumatic systems, including maintenance and repair.
• Ability to lubricate and grease industrial parts and components, such as bearings

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Education in Industrial Maintenance or a related technical field is preferred.
• Experience in a food or beverage production environment is beneficial.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively with production and maintenance teams.
• Willingness to follow strict cleanliness and operational standards.

Work Environment

This position is based in a food production facility that operates as a food and beverage supplier. The environment is clean and well-maintained, and all employees must comply with food and beverage standards, including appropriate hygiene measures and attire such as hairnets. The role follows a day-shift schedule, Monday through Friday, providing consistent daytime hours. Work involves regular interaction with industrial machinery, conveyor systems, and related equipment in a production setting, with an emphasis on cleanliness, safety, and adherence to established procedures.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Clinton, MS.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $28.00/hr.
