JOB SUMMARY:The Bell person is responsible for assisting guests with luggage, valet, and minor concierge assistance.POSITION AUTHORITY:The incumbent is authorized to take reasonable action necessary to carry out assigned duties and responsibilities, provided such action is consistent with position guidelines as outlined below.POSITION GUIDELINES:Position guidelines include, but are not limited to, established company and department policies and procedures and all supervisory directives. The incumbent is expected to exercise sound, reasonable judgment and initiative, and give high priority to accuracy and details in the performance of job responsibilities.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Retrieve guest items from cars, busses, and cartsGrasp lift, carry and load luggage and packages onto a bell cart to transport items throughout hotel to designated roomRead and match luggage tags, write claim tickets and detach portion to give to guestValet guest cars, walk around vehicles for inspection of any damage before parking in the designated area for valet in the hotel underground garage.Organize and store luggage as necessary in designated areasInstruct guests on how to use television, pay movies, and how to use the AC and all other amenities in the room.Escort customers to accommodations, visually inspect room and telephone any deficiencies such as towels to housekeeping immediatelySupply guest with ice before leaving the roomMust be at least 21 years of age.Knowledgeable of all hotel and park operating hoursPerform all duties timely and promptly while maintain upmost customer service to ensure guest satisfactionAny and all other duties as assigned; duties are subject to change as management deems necessary to best serve the needs of Moody GardensEDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:High school diploma preferredMust have a valid Texas Driver license with a clean recordREQUIRED SKILLS:Must be reliable and responsibleAbility to understand and follow written and or verbal instructionsAbility to communicate effectively in EnglishAbility to safely operate a motor vehicleAbility to deal with internal and external customers in a pleasant and professional mannerPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Must be able to lift at least 50 poundsSufficient manual dexterity in one hand to be able to load and unload luggageAbility to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, kneeling, and walking significant distances on property #J-18808-Ljbffr Moody-Gardens,-Inc.-Resort-and-Attractions
