Job Details

• Location: Redding

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality computed tomography (CT) procedures in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols
• Prepare and position patients for CT examinations while ensuring comfort and safety
• Administer contrast media and monitor patients for adverse reactions as appropriate
• Operate CT equipment and adjust technical parameters to obtain optimal diagnostic images
• Evaluate images for quality and accuracy before submission for interpretation
• Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation
• Follow radiation safety standards and ensure compliance with ALARA principles
• Monitor and maintain CT equipment functionality and report any equipment issues
• Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Provide compassionate patient education regarding imaging procedures and expectations
• Ensure compliance with infection prevention, patient safety, and quality care standards

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• Active California Radiologic Technologist License, as required
• Current ARRT Certification in Radiography (R) required
• ARRT Certification in Computed Tomography (CT) preferred
• Minimum 2 years of recent CT Technologist experience
• Current BLS Certification required
• Experience with contrast administration and advanced CT imaging procedures preferred
• Strong knowledge of CT imaging protocols and radiation safety practices
• Excellent communication and patient care skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment
• Commitment to delivering exceptional, patient-centered care
