FOOD UNIT LEAD (FULL TIME)

We are hiring immediately for full‑time FOOD UNIT LEAD positions. Location: American Leadership Academy – 1010 South Higley Road, Gilbert, AZ 85296. Online applications accepted only. Schedule: Monday‑through‑Friday, full‑time; hours may vary (details available upon interview). Previous food handling experience is preferred but not required. Pay Range: $16.00–$18.50 per hour. Internal Employee Referral Bonus Available. Job Summary Coordinates activities of other food‑service employees. Creates an enjoyable dining experience for customers, staff, and visitors. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provide quality customer service by attending to detail one‑on‑one. Oversee and participate in the preparation and service of food and beverage items in accordance with company standards for presentation, sanitation, safety, and portion control. Help plan menus. Ensure timely, efficient meal service; supervise serving of meals. Respond to customer complaints in person at the time of the complaint and via email for electronic complaints. Train employees; assign and coordinate work of employees to promote efficiency and excellence. Determine work procedures, prepare work schedules, and expedite workflow. Use proper systems for the completion of required daily/weekly/monthly reports such as inventory‑cash reports, production records, payroll, and time‑keeping. Responsible for proper cash handling as established by the Food Accounting Manual (deposits – petty cash – change funds). Order food and other necessary supplies from approved sources or purveyors. Direct and participate in the overall sanitation and safety of the facility and employees in accordance with company standards and government regulations. Develop sanitation schedule and ensure food‑service employees adhere to the schedule for cleaning of kitchen and dining area and washing of kitchen utensils and equipment. Issue written and oral instructions. Help select and orient employees; oversee staff training in areas of responsibility. Perform other duties as assigned.
