We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our long-term care facility team in Naples, FL. As an SLP with our organization, you will have the opportunity to assess, develop, and implement personalized speech and language therapy plans for residents, making a meaningful difference in their lives.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough patient assessments to identify speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing impairments across diverse populations

• Develop and implement tailored speech-language therapy plans based on comprehensive evaluations and current best practices

• Provide direct therapy services through in-person sessions or telehealth platforms, ensuring continuity of care for all patients

• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care plans

• Engage with patients' families and caregivers to educate them on communication strategies, progress updates, and home exercise programs

• Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, treatment progress notes, and therapy outcomes using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of speech therapy techniques for geriatric patients with speech or language impairments

• Expertise in conducting comprehensive speech and language evaluations utilizing standardized tools and clinical observations

• Ability to design effective speech-language therapy plans aligned with patient goals and medical conditions

• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and engaging with patients' families effectively

• Familiarity with telehealth therapy platforms and delivering remote services confidently

• Knowledge of anatomy and physiology related to speech production, swallowing mechanisms, and neurological functions

• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or speech impairments across various settings including long-term care facilities and schools

• Proficiency in using EMR/EHR systems for documentation; understanding of medical terminology is essential

• Ability to adapt therapy approaches based on patient needs while maintaining a positive and motivating attitude
