Food Prep Fruit II Specialist

Our client, a fresh food retail merchandising company, is seeking a Fruit Cutter Specialist to join their team. As a Fruit Cutter Specialist, you will be part of the Fresh Produce Operations team supporting retail store locations. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work independently, which will align successfully in the organization. 

Job Title: Fruit Cutter Specialist 
Location: Plano, TX (S Hwy 287) and The Colony, TX (Riley Fuzzel Rd)
Schedule: 7 AM to 5 PM – days vary
Pay Range: $17.00/hour 

What's the Job? 

• Wash, peel, cut, slice, package, and label fresh fruits and vegetables according to company standards. 

• Maintain product freshness, quality, presentation, and proper inventory rotation. 

• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and temperature control procedures. 

• Stock and merchandise produce displays to ensure shelves remain full and visually appealing. 

• Promote products through customer interaction and daily sampling activities. 

What's Needed? 

• Food Handler Certification preferred; must be willing to obtain one if not currently certified. 

• Previous food preparation, produce, grocery, or food service experience preferred. 

• Ability to safely use knives, cutting tools, and food preparation equipment. 

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality and safety. 

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and provide excellent customer service. 

Dress Code 

• AFC-provided polo shirt, apron, and hat. 

• Black pants, khaki pants, or jeans (no shorts, leggings, or distressed clothing). 

• Non-slip shoes required.
