People like you.Visit our careers page to see what exciting opportunities and company perks await!Job Description:The Senior Linux Administrator II is responsible for the design, architecture, implementation, and day-to-day management of a global Linux infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on the Red Hat ecosystem, automation, and High-Performance Computing (HPC) environments. This role plays a key part in driving standardization, scalability, and operational excellence across enterprise data centers worldwide.As a senior technical contributor, this individual must be a self-starter capable of working independently with minimal supervision while providing technical leadership, mentoring, and clear communication to peers, internal customers, and leadership teams.Key Responsibilities:Lead the design, architecture, and automation of a standardized global Linux infrastructureExperience with commercial hypervisors (VMWare, Proxmox, etc)Provide deep technical expertise across the Red Hat ecosystem, including Satellite Server, Identity Management (IdM), and related toolsManage and support a large, diverse global Linux environment, including system availability, capacity planning, performance tuning, and proactive monitoringOwn the full lifecycle management of global engineering systems, from hardware acquisition through operating system deployment and decommissioningAutomate infrastructure deployment and configuration using Ansible, Satellite Server (Foreman), and CFEngineDevelop and maintain automation scripts and tools using Python, Perl, and shell scriptingDrive an automation-first mindset, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, reliability, and scalabilityTroubleshoot complex system issues and proactively remediate weaknesses before they impact productionManage and maintain monitoring systems to ensure uptime, reliability, and adherence to SLA requirementsParticipate in on-call rotations and provide escalation-level operational supportCreate and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and implementation guidesCollaborate effectively with a global team of highly skilled engineers in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentRequirements/Qualifications:US Citizenship required7.5+ years of hands-on Linux/Unix system administration experience in enterprise environmentsStrong experience in designing, architecting, and administering Linux platforms with a heavy focus on RHEL / AlmaLinux3+ years of experience with configuration management and Infrastructure as a code (Ansible preferred; Puppet or Chef acceptable)3+ years of experience with centralized configuration and lifecycle management systems (Satellite, Foreman, Spacewalk)Containerization/Virtualization technology such as Proxmox, Docker, VMware, KubernetesProficiency in scripting and automation, including Python, Perl, and BashExperience with incident management, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis. Experience in handling postmortems, building incident response plans, and improving incident resolution procedures.  Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios, or similar.) and alerting systems.  Understanding of software systems concepts such as networking, firewalls, protocols, databases and moreExperience managing infrastructure in large-scale data center environmentsCompute cluster experience is a plus (LSF, Sun Grid Engine, RTDA)Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experienceKnowledge of source control tools (Git preferred).U.S. Export Controls Requirements: This job requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by the export laws of the United States.
