About the Role
The Company is seeking an Associate/Deputy General Counsel to join their legal team. The successful candidate will serve as a key member of the legal function, with a focus on commercial contracts, business support, privacy and data protection, employment and HR matters, general corporate and governance, and legal team leadership. This role requires a versatile lawyer with a JD from an ABA-accredited law school, active bar admission, and significant in-house experience as a generalist. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial contracts, privacy, employment, and general corporate law, and a genuine interest in the evolving landscape of ad tech, data, and consumer intelligence. Core responsibilities for the role include drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of commercial agreements, advising on privacy and data compliance matters, and supporting the design and maintenance of privacy policies and data governance practices. The role also involves serving as a legal resource for HR on employment matters, supporting general corporate work, and providing legal support for various business initiatives. The candidate should be a strategic partner, with the ability to mentor and support other legal staff, and be prepared to take on a leadership role as the department grows. The position demands a professional with high personal standards of excellence and ethics, flexibility, adaptability, and a drive to succeed.
