Remote, U.S.-based (near a major airport)

50%+ travel | Full-time | $110,000 - $140,000

We're partnering with a growing aerospace and defense manufacturer to find a Senior Technical Sales Engineer to join its Growth Team. This is an outside sales role at the heart of the company's growth strategy. You'll find and win new business, grow existing accounts, and present the company's value proposition to senior management, purchasing and engineering teams.

What you'll be doing

• Building and executing a quarterly customer visit strategy that turns visits into real opportunities
• Visiting assigned customers, cold calling prospects and following up on qualified leads
• Developing Strategic Account Plans and presenting actionable goals to the Executive Leadership Team
• Producing pre- and post-visit reports using a structured sales process
• Generating and documenting sales forecasts for your accounts
• Working closely with the internal Execution Team and customers to close opportunities
• Gathering and sharing Voice of Customer insights and competitive intelligence
• Identifying at-risk accounts and taking action to retain them

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or equivalent technical experience
• 7+ years of technical outside sales experience
• Existing relationships and sales experience in commercial or business aviation
• Familiarity with cable technology, aircraft systems and the Aerospace & Defense market
• Formal sales and CRM training, and a track record of applying a disciplined sales process
• Experience working in a small business environment
• A self-motivated, outgoing and collaborative approach
