Building Automation Technician

Schneider Electric is looking for a Building Automation Systems Technician in the Morrisville, NC area. Minimum 2 years’ experience in building automation. The role requires learning to understand project/service requirements such as specifications, standards, schedules, and safety. The technician participates in project/service activities on site related to coordination, installation, and commissioning of building automation and security management systems. Report to the Construction Manager or Operations Manager under daily supervision of a Project Manager or Project Engineer. Responsibilities Work independently or with others as needed. Be customer‑friendly, knowledgeable, and reliable. Familiar with package units, split systems, RTUs, and mini splits. Have electrical and mechanical diagnostic skills. Troubleshoot and diagnose issues. Perform thorough and accurate HVAC inspections. Communicate effectively with team and customers. Comply with all safety standards and processes. Climb ladders and work in confined spaces. Qualifications 2‑year technical degree or equivalent experience servicing electronic and/or mechanical systems; EPA Section 608 Technician Certification. Electrical troubleshooting knowledge. Highly organized and able to work in a high‑paced environment, prioritizing tasks to meet schedules. Operate independently and autonomously; take ownership of all tasks. Excellent oral and written communication skills and team orientation. Proficiency in writing code for controller sequence of operations. Proficiency with integration protocols (BACnet, LonWorks, Modbus, etc.). Compensation USD 54,400 – USD 81,600 per year (base and short‑term incentives). Pay range applies to candidates located within the United States.
