Sr. Scientist

job summary:
This critical role focuses on evaluating and de-risking bioanalytical methods from discovery through development. You will provide technical leadership for development compounds across various modalities-including small and large molecules-using advanced mass spectrometry.

responsibilities:

• Evaluate and apply novel techniques to address complex bioanalytical and biomarker challenges.
• Lead in-house support for exploratory programs, including method development, troubleshooting, and sample analysis.
• Act as the technical expert for sample cleanup, chromatography, and high-resolution mass spectrometric instrumentation.
• Manage knowledge transfer of novel technologies and interact with bioanalytical CROs to resolve method-related issues.
• Present project status and scientific trends to management via formal reports and presentations.

 
qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

- In vitro experience in stock solution preparations, weighting, pipetting, incubations for common ADME studies is required.

- HPLC and mass spectrometry skills and hands-on experience with LC-MS/MS instrumentation is a plus.

- The candidate must demonstrate good communication skills, particularly in documentation of data.

- The candidate must be able to work in a team environment.

- The candidate must be able to deliver when working under assigned timelines and with minimal supervision.

- Familiarity with common pharmaceutical laboratory test methods and technical writing is desired.

Education and Experience:

Candidates should meet one of the following combinations of education and experience:

- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or a related scientific discipline, with a minimum of 6 years of relevant industry experience.

- Master's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or a related scientific discipline, with a minimum of 4 years of relevant industry experience.

- Ph.D. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or a related scientific discipline, with a minimum of 2 years of relevant industry experience.

Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience will also be considered.
