Tax Manager

Tax Manager Our client, a professional services firm, is seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join its growing team. Location Oakland, CA. This is a hybrid position, requiring 3 days/week in the office. Job Description This role offers the opportunity to lead complex client engagements, provide strategic tax guidance, mentor developing professionals, and serve as a trusted advisor to a diverse portfolio of clients. The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a collaborative environment with significant client interaction and leadership responsibility. Responsibilities Lead and oversee tax engagements for business and individual clients. Review tax filings, research technical matters, and provide planning and advisory support. Develop practical solutions to tax-related issues and communicate recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders. Manage client relationships, engagement timelines, and overall service delivery. Mentor and develop team members while reviewing work for quality and accuracy. Support process improvements and contribute to the continued growth of the practice. Requirements 7+ years of tax experience within public accounting or a professional services environment. Strong background in tax compliance, research, planning, and advisory services. Proven ability to manage client engagements and balance multiple priorities. Excellent leadership, communication, analytical, and relationship‑management skills. CPA, EA, or comparable tax credential preferred.
