Per Diem Preoperative PACU Registered NurseImmediately hiring Registered Nurse for Preop/Recovery PACUMonday - Friday day scheduleSurgCenter of Greater Jacksonville was established by clinical personnel to provide first-class surgical services for the local community in a safe comfortable and welcoming environment.SurgCenter of Greater Jacksonville is seeking a motivated PreOP/Recovery PACU Registered Nurse to join our team.JOB SUMMARY:Under the direct supervision of the Pre-Op/PACU manager, the PACU nurse is responsible for implementing all physician orders, providing for the continuity and quality of nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all time.At times, assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate.Responsible for providing total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation.Responsible for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge.Experienced in supporting the following specialties:OrthopedicsNeurosurgery / SpinePain ManagementSports MedicineQUALIFICATIONS:Must be a Registered Nurse with an unrestricted license in the stateMust be a graduate of an accredited school of nursingMust have at least 1 year of previous experience in PreOP/PACUPrevious experience in an ambulatory surgical center is strongly preferredMust have current BLS, ALS, and PALSMust possess a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patientUnderstanding of aseptic techniques and their implementationAbility to quickly adapt to the changing condition of the patient when neededMust be an excellent team player and have the ability to communicate with staff, patients, and physicians.As a valued member of USPI, your health, and well-being are important to us.We are proud to provide you and your dependents with valuable and significant benefits.USPI knows the value of well-rounded, balanced employees, which is why we offer a variety of additional benefits to help manage life's daily stressesWHO WE ARE:At USPI, we create relationships that create better care.
