Application Developer II

The Office of Information Services (OIS) is a shared service provider for the Oregon Health Authority (OHA) and Department of Human Services (DHS). OIS provides the technology systems and services that support more than 11,000 OHA and DHS agency staff at local offices and facilities around the state. These systems and services help the two agencies determine client service program eligibility; provide medical, housing, food and job assistance; provide addiction, mental health, vocational and rehabilitative services; protect children, seniors and people with physical and/or developmental disabilities; process claims and benefits; manage provider licensing and state hospital facilities; and promote and protect the state public health. OIS provides management support for OHA and DHS IT projects, systems architecture, databases, IT asset and change management. OIS also coordinates network and computing operations with the Oregon State Data Center.


The OIS CA Catalog Project needs additional technical expertise for development of additional Service Catalog offerings. Support is needed for PowerShell programming, SOAP/REST API frameworks, JavaScript, CA/Broadcom and Microsoft Graph. Work will be conducted to design, test, document, and implement scripts for the Broadcom ITSM suite to help expedite manual operations and processes for the purposes of creating a more efficient and robust workflow for Service Catalog offerings.


Required knowledge and experience:

• PowerShell programming
• SOAP/REST API frameworks
• JavaScript familiarity
• CA/Broadcom application experience
• Microsoft Graph
• History of providing customer service to a diverse population of people.
• General understanding of programming concepts and using programming languages to support COTS based products.
• Experience in working within GUI (Graphic User Interface) frameworks to design and develop out COTS products.

Full-time professional work experience in the development and support of Information Technology applications. Successful completion of an Information Technology Certification program, accredited college and/or graduate training may substitute for the required work experience. May require a bachelor's degree in a related area and at least at least two years or equivalent experience in the field or in a related area.

Work is to be conducted onsite in Salem, Oregon.


Work schedule is typically Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM Pacific Standard Time.
Interviews will be conducted onsite in Salem, OR or via Skype. Interview times will reflect PST.


We anticipate two weeks or more for the background check completion for the selected candidate.
