Mid-Level Investment Professional- Investment Research Group GEM is seeking a mid-level investment professional to join our Investment Research Group to support our private equity portfolio. This professional will report to a Director in the Investment Research Group and work to evaluate primary and secondary investment opportunities in private equity funds and co-investments alongside independent sponsors and buyout managers. We are seeking a candidate with prior leveraged buyout experience who is passionate about investing and generating top quartile returns for GEM’s clients. The ideal candidate will be highly self-motivated, organized, and possess the qualitative and quantitative skills required to evaluate investments. Mid-level investment professionals at GEM have the latitude to work independently, build networks, and recommend investment ideas. Key Duties & Responsibilities The position responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Grow and help to maintain a fresh pipeline of emerging private equity sponsors Underwrite private equity sponsors, both in a funded and independent sponsor construct Underwrite co-investment opportunities alongside GEM sponsors Expand GEM's reputation as a leading LP within the broader small buyout ecosystem Contribute to identifying and underwriting secondary investment opportunities Train and mentor junior investment professionals Qualifications Successful candidates will display traits inherent in GEM’s collegial and team-oriented culture, including enthusiasm, honesty, humility, integrity, and curiosity.
