About Executive Mental Health'sTelehealth service

Since 2020, EMH has used Telehealthto provide remote assessment and treatment of the cognitive, behavioral, andemotional conditions of patients without leaving their home or care facility.EMH offers Telehealth services using a HIPAA-compliant videoconferencingplatform which allows patients, residents’ family members, and skilled nursingfacility management.

About the Telehealth Medical AssistantRole:

As an essential part of the care team,the Telehealth Medical Assistant acts as a ‘Telehealth Concierge’ and ensuresresidents receive the quality care they need from the clinicians, whilerespecting social distancing and safety measures. An extension of the clinicalteam, they coordinate the visits to the patients, take the Telehealth tabletfrom room to room and offer a warm interface before the doctor begins theirtherapy session.

They work in close collaboration withEMH clinicians, liaisons, and facility staff. The liaisons work with TelehealthMedical Assistants to build rapport with Skilled Nursing faculty, sweep forreferrals, and identify new possible patients to service.

Job Duties:

• Visit the assigned skilled nursingfacilities (must be able to drive to facility) for daily work assignments
  
• Bring Telehealth equipment from patientto patient for Telehealth Services at partner skilled nursing facilities.
  
• Assist Clinical Staff Team Members bydiscussing Telehealth services with new patients.
  
• Coordination of Care with both ClinicalStaff and Facility Staff.
  
• Provide and gather patient’s medicaldocumentation as instructed by clinical staff member.
  
• Manage daily preparation checklist forequipment care such as sanitization, recharging of equipment and safekeeping/storage.
  
• Work closely and provide follow up withfacility staff members as needed.
  
• Develop a working knowledge of Telehealthweb application (Doxy).
  
• Filing Clinical documentation as directedby facility staff.
  
• Technology Troubleshooting (generalknowledge of WIFI, internet connectivity). Live support provided asneeded.
  
• Be able to lift a minimum of 35 lbs.
  
• Adhere to all standards found within theHIPAA Compliance Privacy Regulations.
  

Requirements

• The job requires in-person visits to allSkilled Nursing locations, must be experienced in infection control andPPE. We conduct safety training in preparation for working with COVID-19positive patients face-to-face.

• Weekly/Monthly COVID-19 testing
• Traveling to different facilities uponrequest, commute can vary.
• Flexibility with scheduling.
• Availability on the weekends.
• Must have an active cellular service forcommunication with our staff.
