Junior Accountant

To Apply for this Job Click Here Junior Accountant - Mystic, CT Our client, a professional services-focused organization, is seeking a Junior Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations and financial reporting activities. This position offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience across a variety of accounting functions, including account reconciliations, financial analysis, reporting, and process improvement initiatives in a collaborative team environment.
Responsibilities

- Assist with routine accounting activities and maintenance of financial records
- Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
- Support financial reporting and analyze variances in accounting data
- Prepare and maintain reports using Excel and other business systems
- Contribute to operational and process improvement initiatives
- Assist with data management, system updates, and record maintenance projects
- Participate in special projects and provide general accounting support as needed
- Collaborate with team members to ensure deadlines and reporting requirements are met
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred; Finance, Economics, or related field considered
- Prior accounting internship or relevant professional experience preferred
- Exposure to E-Finance, Frontline, UKG, MUNIS, or similar platforms is a plus
