Sr. Clinical Development Engineer, Multiport Instruments

Senior Clinical Development Engineer responsible for defining, developing, and validating clinical functions of new robotic surgical products. Works with design engineers and clinicians to establish data-driven requirements and ensure patient safety and efficacy through pre-clinical testing and regulatory support.

Responsibilities

• Develop and validate clinical performance requirements for new multiport robotic platform products
• Provide clinical expertise during design reviews and guide engineering teams on product development
• Conduct pre-clinical testing and risk assessment to validate safety and efficacy
• Support regulatory documentation, submissions, and clinical evaluations at customer sites
• Collaborate with marketing, clinicians, and surgeons to identify clinical needs and product enhancements

Requirements

• 8+ years medical device industry experience with Bachelor's degree, or equivalent advanced degree
• Proven track record supporting medical products from design through launch
• Direct experience working with surgeons in operating room environments
• Fluent in surgical terminology with sound knowledge of anatomy and surgical technique
• Mechanical aptitude and spatial reasoning for understanding complex mechanical systems
• Analytical capability to develop test methods and interpret results
