Quality Engineer IThe Quality Engineer I will provide quality assurance support for manufacturing. This position is responsible for the definition, implementation, and improvement of quality related practices and will provide technical guidance and measurement methodologies support.ResponsibilitiesQuality engineering support for manufacturing and project managementDevelop inspection requirements; facilitate PFMEAs; resolve discrepant material issues and create and maintain quality document such as control plans and inspection plansAnalyze data and identify improvement opportunitiesAct as the quality interface for a production team in responding to customer complaints using failure analysis, development of corrective and preventative actions and trend analysisSupport internal and external audit activityLead and participate in company projects providing quality recommendationsSupport validation activity of processes, equipment, and metrologyCreate protocols and analyze dataSupport the Quality Inspectors to ensure that inspection plans comply with the relevant requirements of customer's product requirementsSupport and comply with the company Quality System, ISO, and medical device requirementsRead, understand, and follow work instructions and standard workPartner with other business segments: sales/marketing, customer service, engineering, quality, and financeUnderstand customer needs and the core business markets we serveEnsure business systems are implemented, maintained, and functioning properlyParticipate in required company meetingsMaintain an organized work area (5S)Participate in the Operational Excellence ProgramComplete all other work duties as assignedAbility to work in a manufacturing environmentQualificationsBachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or in another Engineering ScienceKnowledge of quality systems, regulatory requirements, and industry standardsIntermediate knowledge of blueprint reading and GD&TAbility to analyze data and ensure data integrityAbility to operate a variety of inspection equipmentAbility to consistently achieve short and long-term business resultsMicrosoft Office proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher)Clear and effective verbal and written communication skillsAttention to detailOrganizational skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced team environmentAbility to prioritize and multitaskPay RangeUSD $68,200.00 - USD $102,400.00 /Yr.Pay Range DetailsThis pay range reflects the base hourly rate or annual salary for positions within this job grade, based on our market-based pay structures. Actual compensation will depend on factors such as skills, relevant experience, education, internal equity, business needs, and local market conditions.
