Position: Personal Banker Associate I Location: Tampa, FL 33602 Overview Selected candidates will become a Retail Personal Banker I after completing a 4-8 week onboarding program that includes rotations in operations and Sales & Service. The role focuses on using a consultative sales process to proactively identify and meet the financial needs of customers and prospects, while maintaining risk awareness and a positive customer experience. Responsibilities Use the consultative sales process and Financial Needs Assessment to build a thorough customer profile and identify current and future financial needs. Maintain in-depth knowledge of retail consumer and small‑business products and services, recommending appropriate solutions using the bank’s value proposition. Utilize CAMP and other approved marketing tools to proactively reach out to customers and set appointments for periodic financial reviews. Primarily focus on cross‑selling to the existing customer base and engaging in outside sales activities such as Membership Advantage onsite presentations, business sales calls, and community financial literacy events. Establish close working relationships with assigned business partners (Mortgage, Small Business, Commercial, and Investment), referring customers when appropriate to provide holistic financial solutions. Consistently meet or exceed customer experience and individual/team production goals, enhancing year‑over‑year revenue growth as measured by the Financial Center P&L. Provide guidance to CSRs regarding the sales and referral process. Promote customer satisfaction with a friendly, helpful demeanor and professionalism. Act with confidence by answering customer questions and owning customer issues. Keep a position of trust and responsibility by protecting all business confidentiality. Follow the Bancorp Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and related policies. Adhere to established policies and procedures while opening and servicing the full range of retail products. Participate in the consumer loan and bankcard process, owning sourced loans from application through closing. Participate in the opening/closing process of the Financial Center or Bank Mart as directed by the Financial Center Manager. Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of retail procedures to mitigate fraudulent activity and unnecessary risk. Qualifications College degree or equivalent work experience providing transferable skills. Experience in the financial industry preferred. Demonstrated ability to develop confidence in sales activities designed to acquire new consumer households and small‑business customers and/or cross‑sell to established customers. Ability to demonstrate understanding of advanced math functions for analysis of credit and financial information. Professional presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written. Working knowledge of retail policies and procedures to apply sound judgment. Required S.A.F.E. Act registration through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) at the time of employment. Working Conditions Normal office environment with extended periods of screen time. The program requires travel within the affiliate for training and occasional classroom sessions outside the affiliate.
