Key Account Manager - Food&Beverage

Job Summary A growing organization in the food and beverage production industry is seeking a Key Account Manager - Food and Beverage to manage and expand strategic customer relationships across retail, grocery, foodservice, and distribution channels. This direct hire opportunity in Kent, WA is ideal for a relationship-focused account management professional who understands the CPG marketplace and knows how to turn customer partnerships into profitable long-term growth. Key Responsibilities Own and grow relationships with key retail, grocery, foodservice, and distribution accounts. Develop strategic account plans to increase sales, distribution, profitability, market share, and long-term customer value. Lead customer presentations, annual business planning, business reviews, pricing discussions, promotional planning, and contract negotiations. Analyze sales performance, forecasts, inventory, pricing, promotions, customer trends, and competitive activity to identify growth opportunities. Partner with Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, and Product Development teams to support customer needs, new product launches, assortment changes, and distribution initiatives. Resolve customer issues professionally while protecting long-term relationships and maintaining strong account performance. Required Qualifications and Skills Manage strategic customer relationships across retail, grocery, foodservice, or distribution channels. Develop account plans, customer presentations, forecasts, and business reviews. Negotiate pricing, promotions, contracts, and commercial agreements. Analyze sales data and translate insights into account growth strategies. 3 to 7+ years of experience in account management, sales, or business development within food and beverage, CPG, grocery, retail, or a related industry. Experience managing significant customer accounts with revenue responsibility. Strong understanding of retail, grocery, foodservice, or distribution channels. Demonstrated ability to grow existing accounts and identify new business opportunities. Experience working with buyers, category managers, distributors, retail headquarters, purchasing teams, or senior customer contacts. Strong negotiation, presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills. Solid analytical and financial business skills with the ability to interpret sales performance, forecasts, pricing, inventory, and promotional data. Ability to work cross-functionally with internal teams including Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, and Product Development. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint. Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field preferred. Preferred Qualifications Food and beverage or CPG industry experience. Experience working with major retailers, grocery chains, distributors, or foodservice organizations. Background supporting new product launches, promotional programs, assortment planning, and distribution growth. Experience conducting customer business reviews and presenting strategic recommendations to internal and external stakeholders. Compensation and Benefits Salary range: $95,000 to $125,000 per year.
