Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Conduct thorough evaluations to assess the severity and duration of mood disorder symptoms in clients. \n
- Collaboratively develop individualized treatment plans tailored to meet the specific needs, preferences, and goals of each client. \n
- Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to guide therapeutic practice. \n
- Provide education and resources to clients and their families about mood disorders and effective self-care strategies. \n
- Monitor client progress and periodically adjust treatment plans to reflect their growth and changing needs. \n
- Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive and integrated care for clients. \n
- Stay updated on the latest research and practices concerning mood disorders to continuously enhance treatment effectiveness. \n
- Maintain accurate and confidential clinical documentation adhering to legal and ethical standards. \n
- Actively participate in case consultations and team meetings to facilitate a cohesive team approach to client care. \n
- Advocate for client needs and mental health awareness within the community, reducing stigma surrounding mental health issues. \n
The primary focus of this role is on individuals coping with mood disorders such as major depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety disorders. Our clientele includes a diverse range of backgrounds and experiences, from those recently facing life changes to individuals who require long-term support. This position allows for significant engagement with populations including marginalized groups, such as the homeless, refugees, and survivors of domestic violence.
Qualifications\n- \n
- A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required. \n
- A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field is essential. \n
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to establish trust and rapport with clients. \n
- Demonstrated empathy, understanding, and a nonjudgmental attitude toward client experiences and struggles. \n
- Strong organizational skills and time management abilities to effectively juggle client caseloads and administrative tasks. \n

- Experience working within community health settings or with clients facing socioeconomic challenges is a plus. \n
- Familiarity with trauma-informed care approaches and integrating holistic treatment modalities is valuable. \n
- Previous experience leading group therapy sessions would be advantageous. \n

- The annual salary for this role ranges from $70,000 to $90,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience. \n
