Travel ICU RN Job Details

• Assignment Type: Travel nursing contract

• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts

• Orientation: 16 hours

ICU Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Georgia
• At least 1 year of recent ICU or Medical ICU nursing experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Current National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Demonstrated critical care nursing experience caring for critically ill patients
• Experience managing complex intravenous medications, including medication titration based on patient condition and prescribed protocols

Medical ICU Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in an acute care Medical ICU
• Care for patients requiring mechanical ventilation and advanced respiratory support
• Safely titrate vasopressors and other intravenous medications according to patient condition and prescribed protocols
• Monitor and manage patients with sepsis, cerebrovascular accident, hypertensive urgency, and other complex medical diagnoses
• Perform ongoing assessments, recognize changes in patient status, and promptly communicate clinical concerns
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to support individualized treatment plans
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in MEDITECH
• Maintain a safe, compassionate, and patient-centered environment for critically ill patients and their families
