Allied Technician - Respiratory Therapist

Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our team. This position involves working 12-hour night shifts with a total of 36 hours scheduled per week. The role requires commitment to every other weekend and holiday as needed. Please note that no on-call duties are required for this position.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy services to patients as prescribed by medical staff.
• Perform assessments and monitor patient responses to therapy.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered, ensuring compliance with protocols and regulations.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Participate in patient education and advocate for best practices in respiratory care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in patient records.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 3 years of current experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
• Experience with Meditech Expanse is highly preferred.
• Current certifications in ACLS and PALS are preferred.
• Must possess a valid Massachusetts RRT license and an active NBRC credential.
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required.
• Travelers must have their own vehicle for this assignment.
• Requested time off during the assignment must be noted at the time of application; a maximum of 5 days is allowed.
• Available to work major holidays and weekends as required.

Orientation and Training

New hires will be required to complete an 8-hour non-billable orientation prior to starting their shifts.
