Diagnostic Technologist

Wake Radiology UNC REX – Full-Time and Part-Time available Wake Radiology UNC REX is seeking a compassionate, patient-focused Diagnostic Technologist to join our team at our West Raleigh and our Panther Creek offices. In this role, you will perform high-quality diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopy procedures while providing an exceptional patient experience. What You'll Do Perform high-quality diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopy procedures following established protocols. Prepare patients by explaining procedures, reviewing medical history, and ensuring their comfort throughout the exam. Position patients accurately to obtain diagnostic-quality images. Review images for quality and prepare them for radiologist interpretation. Assist radiologists during procedures and patient consultations as needed. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in the imaging system. Follow all radiation safety, infection control, and quality assurance standards. Perform routine equipment quality control and report maintenance concerns promptly. Collaborate with physicians and team members to provide exceptional patient care. Assist with training new technologists and support other Wake Radiology UNC REX locations as needed. What We're Looking For The ideal candidate demonstrates: Excellent patient care and communication skills. Strong knowledge of radiographic anatomy, positioning, and imaging procedures. Commitment to patient safety and quality imaging. Sound clinical judgment and problem-solving abilities. Ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment. Professionalism, teamwork, and flexibility. Strong computer skills and experience working with digital imaging systems. Qualifications Current ARRT certification and registration. Current CPR certification or willingness to obtain upon hire. Completion of OSHA training as required by the employer. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and radiographic principles. Ability to communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and team members. Why Join Wake Radiology?
