Join Our Team as a Non-invasive Cardiologist

We are excited to announce an opening for a Non-invasive Cardiologist at our facility located at NYC Health + Hospitals/Metropolitan. This hospital, situated at the intersection of First Avenue and 97th Street in Manhattan, serves over 313,000 outpatient visits, nearly 70,000 emergency room visits, and more than 13,000 inpatient admissions each year. It also has an academic partnership with a prominent medical college.

Opportunity Overview

• Conduct nuclear stress tests, EKG stress tests, echocardiograms, transesophageal echocardiograms (TEEs), EKGs, and various Holter monitor assessments.
• Provide clinical care as a ‘Direct Panel Attending’ from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 1 PM.
• Supervise and mentor medical residents.
• Work schedule: Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, with on-call duties approximately every second to third week, covering Monday through Sunday.

Qualifications

• Board Certification in Echocardiography.
• Board Certification in Nuclear Cardiology.
• Current New York State license or the ability to obtain one.
• Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Cardiology.

Compensation and Benefits

• Annual Base Salary: $340,000* (for board eligible); $350,000* (for board certified), based on a 40-hour work week. Additional compensation is available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours.
• The estimated total annual compensation package is approximately $469,520** (board eligible) and $480,520** (board certified), which includes base salary, 401(k) contributions, sessional/per diem hours, and other factors.
• Estimated annual earnings for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked weekly is $55,520.
• Potential bonuses of up to $40,000 based on quality and productivity metrics from the previous year.
• 401(k) Contributions: Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings, with no employee match required. After one year of service, an additional 7% company contribution is provided, also with no employee match required.
• Annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) reimbursement.
• Generous Paid Time Off (PTO) including vacation, sick leave, holidays, and CME days.
