Position Summary

Our client is seeking Yard Maintenance Technicians for its Space Rentals locations in Houston, TX; Salt Lake City, UT; and Aurora (Denver), CO . The Yard Maintenance Technician is responsible for keeping the grounds and buildings maintained using the necessary equipment while ensuring machinery, vehicles, and other equipment are kept clean, detailed, and in good working condition. This role also supports the overall preparation of the lease fleet by maintaining a safe, organized, and well-maintained yard.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general yard maintenance and overall preparation of the lease fleet, including spraying weeds, mowing, weed trimming, trash removal, and maintaining the cleanliness of buildings.

• Perform "make-ready" cleaning of modular units prior to lease.

• Ensure all tires are properly inflated on buildings and equipment located in the yard and sales lot.

• Perform occasional maintenance on company-owned equipment, including forklifts, utility vehicles (Gators), and company trucks.

• Operate a forklift to move and store buildings within the yard.

• Keep supplies stocked and ensure the yard remains organized, clean, and free of debris and safety hazards.

• Perform additional service-related yard tasks as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in general labor and general repairs.

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.

• Electrical, plumbing, and welding experience is a plus.

• Forklift experience is preferred.

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods (6-8 hours per day).

• Frequent use of hands and arms for reaching, grabbing, and handling materials.

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.

• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, and balance as required.

• Good vision and hearing to safely perform all job duties.

Work Environment

• Primarily an outdoor work environment with exposure to varying weather conditions, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, odors, and loud noise.

• Must follow all safety procedures and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

• May be required to work extended shifts of up to 12 hours when business needs require.
