SMH- PC Unit Clerk

Unit Clerk & Resident Assistant –Full Time Join the team at SMH !! The Unit Clerk Coordinates day-to-day activities in assigned unit, communicating information to the appropriate individuals/departments along with completing administrative duties relating to the care of residents at Living Branches. Also, will provide direct resident care duties based upon the individualized care plan/support plan of each resident, including attention to the residents' personal care (hygiene, bed changes, etc.) with an extreme display of compassion. Unit Clerk Overview: Ensures good lines of communication between Nursing/Personal Care staff, physicians, health care providers and other departments. Answers the telephones, accurately screening for information and routing phone calls appropriately. May coordinate lab services and transportation for resident appointments outside of Living Branches facilities as needed with family. Ensures that the resident's charts are up-to-date and ready to accompany the resident and family members on their scheduled visit. Maintains nurses' station as a neat and organized workspace. High School Diploma or GED (Required) CPR Certified (Preferred) Knowledge of HIPPA rules and regulations and of regulations and guidelines governing long-term care Good communication skills and ability to effectively interact with others Experience providing customer & personal services.
