Connect Staffing is hiring a Deburrer (Aluminum) for an aluminum forgings manufacturing facility in Santa Ana, CA. This is a temp-to-hire position paying $19.50 - on a 2nd shift schedule with weekly overtime. In this role, you will use deburring, sanding, and grinding tools to remove forging flash and excess metal from manufactured aluminum parts. Pay: $19.50 Schedule: MondayThursday 3:30 PM2:00 AM; Fridays 1:30 PM10:00 PM; Saturdays as needed Location: Santa Ana, CA Job Type: Temp-to-Hire Primary workplace language(s): English, Spanish Work Environment: Manufacturing Plant / Factory hot metal and machine shop environment Overtime: Weekly OT required (~8 hrs/wk) Responsibilities Use deburring, sanding, and grinding tools to remove forging flash and excess metal from aluminum parts to customer specifications. Inspect forged parts for surface defects and ensure they meet quality standards before passing them forward. Keep an accurate count of completed parts and work pieces throughout the shift. Maintain a clean, organized workstation in line with lean manufacturing practices. Report damaged or faulty equipment and any facility issues to a supervisor. Wear required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) at all times in the work area. Minimum Requirements 3+ months of experience in a manufacturing or production environment. Basic math and measuring skills sufficient to read job travelers and verify part counts. Preferred Qualifications Experience deburring, grinding, or finishing metal parts in a production setting. Familiarity with aluminum, forged metal, or precision machined components. Ability to read and follow work orders or customer specification sheets. Experience working in a high-volume, production-paced manufacturing environment. Exposure to lean manufacturing, 5S, or organized shop floor practices. Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, or fabrication environment. Ability to use hand tools and power tools such as grinders, sanders, or deburring tools. Ability to communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, and verbal). Pre-Employment Requirements Must be able to work at a fast pace in a very hot metal and machine shop environment. Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. frequently an up to 50 lbs occasionally. Steel toe boots required (employee-provided). Drug screen required. Background check required. E-Verify / work authorization required.
