We work OT and Saturdays during our peak season. ICP Group is looking to hire a Batchmaker / Chemical Operator for our Tampa plant. The Chemical Operator/batchmaker role consists of adding the indicated raw materials to a mixer following a batch instruction sheet with special attention to quality, follows established standard operating procedures with attention to safety rules and company policies./ph3Key Responsibilities:/h3ulliFollows daily scheduled activities as indicated by supervisor./liliAbility to handle chemicals in a safe manner./liliBatching/weighing/sampling material./liliBlend and weigh ingredients to the specifications of the SOP./liliFollows standard operating procedures, company policies and safety regulations./liliAssists in maintaining good housekeeping in work area and throughout the facility./liliResponsible for the daily upkeep of work area and any equipment included in it./liliPromptly reports any problems or out of the ordinary situations to supervisor./liliMaintain schedule efficiency to meet production demand./liliMaintains close communication with supervisor and QC technician during the batch process./liliResponsible for reporting and/or recording inventory movements resulting from each batch onto a batch sheet./liliPerforms periodic sampling for quality control./liliFollows direction from supervisor and/or QC technician to ensure products meet established quality control standards./liliMay be required to assist in general labor tasks as needed and indicated by supervisor./liliMay be required to assist in the training of new personnel on the safe operation of mixing equipment./liliMust have good attendance record and be on time./liliThe above listing of primary functions is not to be considered an all-inclusive list of duties./li/ulh3Experience and Skills Requirements:/h3ulliAbility to comprehend and abide by relevant policies/procedures pertinent to safety, quality, security, and operations./liliStrong attention to detail./liliForklift experience a plus./liliAbility to multi-task and watch multiple processes at the same time./liliExperience reading and working with SOPs a plus./liliHave experience working with chemicals and/or light chemical manufacturing is preferred./liliHave basic math skills and be able to apply them in a work environment./liliAbility to be flexible and adaptable and change priorities and direction as needed./liliMust have a positive attitude towards work and can work well as a member of a team./liliAfter receiving training, employees must be able to show understanding and competency on safety rules and regulations by written or verbal examination./liliAbility to understand and follow posted signage throughout the facility./liliClear understanding of lock-out, tag-out procedures./liliMust be familiar with the standard operating procedure and operator manual for the safe operation of the equipment./liliClear understanding of hazard communication policies./li/ulh3Working Conditions:/h3ulliRequired to have 20/20 vision or corrected 20/20./liliEmployee must be able to hear and speak./liliEmployee must have full range of motion to stand, walk, sit, reach, climb, stoop or kneel./liliEmployee must be able to complete repetitive strenuous work under varying climate conditions./liliEmployee must be able to safely lift up to 70 Lbs./liliEmployee must be able to stand for extended periods./liliMust be able to work in a plant environment with varying levels of temperature and physical requirements./li/ulpICP Group is an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) employer and welcomes all qualified applicants.
