Controls Engineer

The Controls Engineer supports power generation facilities through troubleshooting, maintenance, controls systems support, and engineering projects. This individual will work alongside senior engineers to support DCS/PLC systems, power plant equipment, commissioning activities, cybersecurity initiatives, and capital projects while helping ensure safe and reliable plant operations.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical or Power Engineering preferred) OR 2-5 years of relevant experience in controls, power generation, plant operations, or technical services.
Experience in power generation, utilities, or industrial manufacturing environments.
Exposure to industrial control systems such as DCS, PLCs, turbine controls, or electrical power systems.
Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
Ability to travel up to 40% to generation facilities and work in industrial plant environments.


Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience supporting equipment commissioning, factory acceptance testing (FAT), or site acceptance testing (SAT).
Knowledge of cybersecurity practices, system patching, or controls system hardening.
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification, internships, co-ops, or hands-on engineering project experience.
