Bartender

Job Description: As Huey's bartender, you will work in a fast-paced environment, taking and serving orders fast and efficiently. Job Summary Bartenders are responsible for providing quick, friendly service to all customers. Promptly greet guests and take and deliver food and beverage orders. Bartenders must also know the product to provide customers with detailed information to help them select.
MUST HAVE A VALID ABC card

Responsibilities

• Welcoming and sitting diners comfortably in the bar
• Making service drinks in a timely and accurate manner
• Taking customers' food and drink orders
• Collaborating with the kitchen and service staff for the prompt and correct delivery of orders
• Memorizing the menu and recommending appetizers, meals, and drinks
• Delivering a memorable dining experience by resolving all customer issues promptly
• Assisting with the tidying of tables, clearing leftovers, and keeping the dining area neat and pleasant

Qualifications

• Must be 18
• Teamwork skills
• Attention to detail
• Excellent time management skills
• Prior experience in a food-serving establishment
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Highly developed interpersonal skills
• Working knowledge of point-of-sale systems
• High level of stamina to work on feet for extended periods

Our History

Huey's has served up Blues, Brews & Burgers in the Mid-South for more than 50 years. Originally opening its doors in Midtown in 1970, this family-owned restaurant is best known for being voted the Best Burger in Memphis since 1984. For more than 30 years, longtime owner Thomas Boggs poured his heart and soul into Huey's, building a legacy that is carried on by his children today.
