SERVICE TECHNICIAN

Job Title

Purpose of Position

Performs maintenance and repairs on Class 5 through Class 8 vehicles and recreational vehicles per OEM and company policies.

Essential Job Functions

• Diagnose and repair assigned vehicles in an accurate and timely manner.
• Verify repair is complete and fixes original customer complaint.
• Notify shop foreman of other potential issues associated with vehicle.
• Punches in and out of job costing program to ensure accurate time billed to customer.
• Mindful of maintaining customer's vehicle cleanliness at all times while working on vehicle.
• Works to achieve company efficiency standards.
• Ensures warranty parts are returned to proper department for processing.
• Follows all established OSHA and company safety protocol to include keeping work station neat, clean, and free of debris.

Required Skills/Abilities

Verbal and written communication to include simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Basic computer use and navigation skills. Knowledge of Heavy Duty/ Medium repair techniques. Ability to learn company standards, warranty procedures, and vehicle policies. Customer Service focused.

Preferred Education

Associate's degree from a two year college or trade school.

Preferred Experience

Minimum of 6 months Heavy Duty/ Medium Duty repair work.
