The Opportunity: We are seeking a results-oriented and customer-focused Senior Email & Subscription Marketing Manager to lead lifecycle marketing, subscription growth, engagement, and retention initiatives for Weiss Ratings Plus. This role combines strategic marketing leadership with hands-on execution across email marketing, customer journeys, subscription funnel optimization, and data-driven growth programs. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in acquiring, engaging, and retaining subscribers while maximizing customer lifetime value.

Key Responsibilities:

\n
• Own Email & Lifecycle Marketing Strategy: Develop and execute email marketing, lifecycle marketing, and customer engagement strategies across the full subscriber journey.
\n
• Subscription Lifecycle Management: Drive acquisition, onboarding, engagement, retention, win-back, and churn reduction programs for Weiss Ratings Plus.
\n
• Growth & Acquisition: Partner with marketing teams to increase subscription growth through paid media, organic channels, landing pages, and conversion funnels.
\n
• Email Campaign Development & Execution: Build, schedule, deploy, and optimize promotional campaigns, nurture programs, triggered communications, and automated customer journeys.
\n
• Audience Segmentation & Personalization: Create targeted audience segments and personalization strategies to improve engagement and conversion performance.
\n
• Marketing Automation Management: Manage Salesforce Marketing Cloud or similar platforms, including workflows, automations, reporting, and campaign execution.
\n
• Analytics & Optimization: Monitor KPIs including open rates, click-through rates, conversions, retention, churn, subscriber growth, and customer lifetime value; conduct A/B testing and continuous optimization.
\n
• Customer Experience & Deliverability: Maintain data integrity, email deliverability, regulatory compliance, and best practices for inbox placement and customer engagement.
\n
• Video Sales Letter (VSL) Production: Coordinate and manage VSL shoots and promotional video projects in partnership with copywriters, creatives, executives, and production teams.
\n
• Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Creative, Data, and Marketing teams to launch campaigns, improve user experiences, and support business objectives.
\n
• Data-Driven Decision Making: Use quantitative and qualitative insights to identify growth opportunities and make strategic recommendations.
\n
• Stakeholder Communication: Communicate marketing strategy, campaign performance, subscriber trends, and growth opportunities to senior leadership.

Qualifications:

Required:

• 5+ years of experience in email marketing, lifecycle marketing, subscription marketing, product marketing, or digital growth marketing.
\n
• Proven experience managing digital subscriptions, memberships, or direct-to-consumer products.
\n
• Strong understanding of email marketing best practices, audience segmentation, personalization, and marketing automation.
\n
• Experience creating and managing automated onboarding, nurture, retention, and trigger-based campaigns.
\n
• Advanced knowledge of HTML/CSS for responsive email development.
\n
• Demonstrated success using analytics and testing to drive business outcomes and subscription growth.
\n
• Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
\n
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
\n

Preferred:

\n
• Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
\n
• Experience optimizing subscription funnels, paywalls, checkout flows, onboarding experiences, and retention programs.
\n
• Familiarity with Agile environments and tools such as Jira and Confluence.
\n
• Experience managing video production projects, including VSLs, webinars, and promotional content.
\n
• Knowledge of direct-response marketing principles and conversion-focused content strategies.
\n
• Background in financial services, investing, fintech, publishing, or subscription-based businesses.
\n
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Finance, Technology, or a related field.
