Occupational Therapist - Day Shift 5x8

The Occupational Therapist plans, organizes, develops, administers, directs, and supervises OT treatment in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, regulations, and guidelines. The role emphasizes a commitment to patient and employee safety, promoting an environment where safety is the priority.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient levels of functioning and implement appropriate treatment plans based on assessments.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team processes and discharge planning.
• Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants and students in practice.
• Complete necessary documentation according to department policy and procedures.
• Effectively evaluate patients and administer appropriate evaluation procedures.
• Communicate with patients and families to ensure understanding of treatment plans.
• Contribute to team conferences and share pertinent information as appropriate.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to safety standards and guidelines.
• Demonstrate good safety techniques regarding patients and equipment.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
• Must hold a valid, current State license.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience is required.

Schedule

This position operates on a day shift, structured as 5 consecutive 8-hour days per week.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
