Responsibilities Position and transfer patients in a timely manner maintaining at all times the safety of the patients and their physical requirements. Develop film by automatic processing utilizing knowledge of this equipment. Utilize surgical techniques as needed in performing sterile procedures. Assist in equipment calibration and quality control, performing each test in a timely manner. Administer radiographic contrast according to the request of the physician and departmental policy and procedure manual. Evaluate when a radiologist should be consulted on the administration of contrast media. Complete initial IV set‑up prep for IV insertion for CT Scan, including IV prep, IV insertion, and IV positioning to secure proper aseptic technique. Report to the CT Lead Technologist and/or Radiology Manager/Director. Possibly have additional or varied physical demands and/or respiratory fit test requirements. Be exposed to moveable tables and film bins, needles, chemical fumes from processors while developing radiographs, radiation, patients with contagious diseases, electrical equipment, odors, blood, chemical irritation; experience constant interruptions and inclement weather and traffic conditions during callbacks; may work erratic hours and overtime. Qualifications ARRT‑CT (ARRT‑COMPUTED TOMOGRAPHY) within 12 months of hire. BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association, or CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.
