Job Title: Occupational Therapist

Experience: Minimum one (1) year of relevant experience
License: Occupational Therapist License (state)
Certifications: BLS (AHA)
Must-Have: Licensed Occupational Therapist

Description:
The Occupational Therapist evaluates and treats patients of all ages.
Serves as a role model in the delivery of professional services.
Acts as a clinical resource for staff and students.
Demonstrates the ability to perform patient transfers with assistance as needed.
Is aware of and demonstrates safe body mechanics to reduce the risk of injury.
Designs an appropriate plan of care that integrates goals, treatments, outcomes, and discharge plans.
Adjusts care based on patient response and available evidence.
Educates patients, families, caregivers, students, and other healthcare providers.
Evaluates clinical findings to determine therapy diagnoses and outcomes of care.
Performs examinations, selecting reliable and valid methods relevant to the chief complaint.
Screens patients to determine the effectiveness and need for further therapy services.
Uses support personnel according to legal standards and ethical guidelines.
Monitors care delivered by support personnel and provides regular feedback.
Documents evaluations and plans of care according to department policy.
Completes annual education as assigned to comply with relevant program requirements.
Evaluates and treats patients effectively.
Designs appropriate care plans and documents care.
