Forklift / Clamp DriverBrookshire, TXCompensation IncludesStarting Pay Rate of $19/hourAdditional $1/hr shift differential pay on 3rd shiftAvailable Shift3rd: 11:00pm - 7:00amOverviewUnder the direction of the Warehouse Manager and/or designated Shift Leads, this position is responsible for all aspects of packing finished paper bags from the on line and prepares them for shipping in order to safely produce high-quality bags in accordance with the job safety analyses (JSA's), production schedule, set-up instructions, operating procedures, and quality specifications, etc.ResponsibilitiesUnderstand and follow all safety procedures / policiesFollow GMP in compliance with all food safety requirementsLoad and unload paper rolls, labels, and other as specifiedAbility to safely operate a forklift and paper roll clamp truck (Will train on Clamp Truck)Properly and accurately scan production and paper to and from machinesMonitor shrink wrap through equipment, starting, stopping, jogging, and adjusting as neededThreading shrink wrap through equipment smoothly and thread equipment as neededFills out proper documentation, reports daily and timelyStacks finished product on pallet evenly and correctlyClean the forklift and or clamp truck as needed using proper equipmentPerform order changes, shrink wrap changes and set label information as neededPerform Minor adjustments and troubleshooting on shrink wrapper, and label machineFulfill customer's special packing tasks (copacker, single packing, etc.)Submit accurate production reports daily and timelyMeet/achieve safety, quality production waste and housekeeping goals forth by managementQualifications2+ years' experience and certified in forklift / clamp truckExperience working in Warehouse or Manufacturing FacilitiesHigh School diploma or equivalentEligible to work in the United StatesSuccessful completion of pre-employment background and drug screenWork overtime as requiredSatisfactorily complete training courses as determined by managementAbility to perform the essential functions of the job with or without accommodationPhysical DemandsSitting (1-2 hours)StandingWalking Lifting (Regularly/Constantly): 0-10 lbs.
