The University of Texas at San Antonio College of Sciences and Department of Neuroscience, Developmental and Regenerative Biology (NDRB) invites applications for a tenure-track appointment at the Assistant Professor level studying neurodevelopment and/or neuroregeneration.  

Position Summary

The successful candidate will perform research within the field of neurodevelopment and/or neuroregeneration. Competitive recruitment packages, state-of-the-art core facilities, and modern laboratory spaces are available. The NDRB department is highly collaborative and sponsors two vibrant doctoral programs (PhD in Neuroscience and a PhD in Developmental and Regenerative Sciences). The NDRB department also supports the Integrating Neuroscience and Developmental and Regenerative Biology T32 from NINDS which provides stipend and tuition support for a number of PhD students in each program. Successful candidates will be expected to establish an independently funded research program, teach courses in their field of expertise, mentor graduate and undergraduate students, and contribute to our T32 training program. 

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have a PhD or equivalent degree in Neuroscience or a related field, a documented history of publishing, and prior experience with mentoring/teaching. This position may require the ability to maintain the security and integrity of UT San Antonio and its infrastructure per Texas EO-GA-48.
